Steps to Take Before Listing to Newegg

You need to perform the following steps before you can list to Newegg. If you have already completed them, you're ready to download the Excel template and use the table of fields below to populate it.

1) Connect to Newegg (see Connecting to the Newegg Marketplace) and create a Newegg Market List (see Creating a Market List).

2) Create your product in Solid Commerce and add it to inventory. See the Related Articles section for more information.

Three Product Identifiers You Can Use When Listing

To add yourself to listings that already exist in Newegg's catalog, provide one of these product identifiers.

Product Identifier Type Description and Listing Information
newegg item number

Newegg assigns a unique product code to each listing.

When listing products, we give the Newegg Item # priority over the UPC and ISBN. For example, if you provide both the Newegg Item #, and the UPC, we will ignore the UPC and send the Newegg Item # to Newegg.

Most people don't have the Newegg Item #s for their products, so they list via the UPC or ISBN instead.

If you are going to import active listings from Newegg, you will want to use the Newegg Item # during the import. See Importing Active Listings From the Newegg Marketplace.

upc or isbn

If you don't have the Newegg Item # for your products, you can provide Solid Commerce with the Universal Product Code (UPC).

If you are selling books, you provide us with the International Standard Book Number (ISBN) instead of the UPC.
