Retrieving and Removing Serial Numbers

Here's how you retrieve serial numbers into an Excel file and remove them from Solid Commerce.

Retrieving Serial Numbers for Specific Products Into an Excel File

1) Open the template attached to this article.

• You can also use your own file, just be sure to include these minimum required columns: results, warehouse id, warehouse name, and serial number.

2) Enter their Warehouse IDs into the warehouse id column.

• Provide each Warehouse ID only once, even if it has multiple serial numbers assigned to it.

3) Provide a warehouse name for each Warehouse ID.

 

4) Click on the Retrieve Serial Number button in the Solid Commerce menu. Enter your Solid Commerce credentials.

5) Select the Retrieve serial number for existing warehouse ID radio button.

6) Click the Continue button.

 

During the retrieval, if any product has multiple serial numbers, its Warehouse ID will automatically populate onto additional rows. Each row will include one serial number.

 

Retrieving All Serial Numbers from a Warehouse Into an Excel File

1) Open the template attached to this article.

• You can also use your own file, just be sure to include these minimum required columns: results, warehouse id, warehouse name, and serial number.

2) Ensure all the cells below the column headers are empty.

 

 

3) Click on the Retrieve Serial Number button in the Solid Commerce menu. Enter your Solid Commerce credentials.

4) Select Retrieve serial number from a specific vendor or warehouse list.

5) Click the Continue button.

 

 

All items with serial numbers will automatically be retrieved into your spreadsheet. Items that do not have serial numbers assigned to them will not be retrieved.

 

Removing Serial Numbers from Solid Commerce

Serial numbers must be removed through our user interface. At this time, there is no way to remove serial numbers through a spreadsheet.

If you made a mistake entering a serial number, remove it before adding the correct serial.

To remove a serial number:

1) Find your product in its Warehouse or Vendor Inventory List.

2) Hover over the rectangular Serial Numbers icon on the right-hand side of the Serial Number Tracking cell.

3) Click on the manage serial numbers button in the pop-up.

 

 

4) Check the box to the left of the serial number you want to remove.

5) Click the Delete button.
