Ship Now (Web Solution): Troubleshooting Viewing and Printing Errors or Issues

Here are some common errors and issues that customers encounter when viewing orders or printing shipping labels.

 

Issue or Error
Description and Solution

Shipping labels print on the wrong printer

In order to speed up label printing, SolidShip prints labels to your computer's default printer.

Solution
Change the default printer defined in the Devices and Printers section of your computer's Control Panel. For instructions, see Ship Now: Setting Up the Default Printer on Your Computer.

The print on the shipping labels is the wrong size

The size of your print is controlled by the settings saved with your computer's default printer.

Solution
Change your default printer's Printing preferences in the Devices and Printers section of your computer's Control Panel. For instructions, see Ship Now: Setting Up the Default Printer on Your Computer.

Error: error Printing label: Invalid Parameter. Remove special characters from the printer name within windows. Go to Printers and Scanners >>  Manage >> Printer Properties >> Change the printer name >> Click OK

The Shipping Client installer overlay window appears even though you've already installed the Shipping Client

If you are using Firefox, see the solution above.

If you aren't using Firefox, the Shipping Client probably isn't running.

Solution
Relaunch the Shipping Client. For instructions, see the "Troubleshooting When the Shipping Client Installation Window Appears During Shipping" section of Ship Now: The Solid Commerce Shipping Client.

invalid address: invalid order. Shipper's Name name can't be empty.. Please, check Seller's Account of Shipping Rule

Validate that the Ship From Addresses in the Shipping Rules are populated with Ship From Name and Business Name. Then try again
