Potential Fees for Updating Live Listings

IMPORTANT!
According to Etsy's documentation, updating a listing through their API may trigger a relisting fee.

While that is the official word from Etsy, we haven't been charged for updating our test listings. We also haven't heard of clients being charged. Of course, that's no guarantee that Etsy won't charge you.

Updating the quantity on Etsy is different than updating other listing information. Etsy may charge you when we submit quantity updates. To minimize the number of inventory updates, we recommend using IIF(lq>x,y,lq) as your Listing Quantity Expression (make sure to populate x and y with numbers). For more info, please see the Managing Quantity section of Listing a Product to Etsy Using a Spreadsheet.

Price and Quantity Updates

Just like with our other marketplace integrations, we automatically submit price and quantity updates to Etsy. You don't need to take any action or click on the Update Listings button.

Calculated Shipping and Shipping Profile IDs

Etsy hasn't added support for calculated shipping to their API yet. That means that you cannot switch to calculated shipping when you update live listings through Solid Commerce.

To learn how to easily add a calculated shipping profile to live listings manually through Etsy, see Listing a Product to Etsy Using a Spreadsheet. The article also shows you how to find shipping profile IDs in case you want to update the standard shipping options on your listing.

Updating Listing Information

NOTE: If you remove the [SKU:<your sku>] line from an Etsy Description in Solid Commerce, we will automatically add it back when we update your listing. We use the SKU on this line to recognize the listing.

Updating One or Two Fields

1) Open a new spreadsheet and enter the following column headers:

results, product custom sku, warehouse id, list name, any optional fields you like (such as adding product name for reference)

2) Add the Etsy column header(s) you need.

For a list of all the supported fields, see Listing a Product to Etsy Using a Spreadsheet or open the Manage Excel Columns tool in the Add-In and show the Products and Etsy fields.

3) Enter SKUs and data into your spreadsheet.

4) Click the Upload Data button in the Excel Add-In. Select Upload Marketplace.

  • If you are using any fields that begin with etsy attr:, also check the Upload Product box.

5) In your Solid Commerce Etsy Market List, select your item(s). Click the Update Listings button.
