Prepare for FEDEX API updates: May 2026

FedEx has a new API, and we want to provide the steps you will need before June 1 to prepare for the connection!

Please review the new requirements below so you are prepared for the new connection.

UPDATE: May 21, 2026

Please connect your FedEx account to the new FedEx API.

NOTICE: Do not remove your existing FedEx connection. Instead, create an additional new connection using the “FedEx New” connection option.

Shipping through the new FedEx account will only become available on June 1, 2026. Until then, please continue using your existing FedEx connection for shipping.

Please note that old FedEx connections will stop working on June 1, 2026.

IMPORTANT:

FedEx is requiring a Multifactor Authentication (MFA) factor to connect your FedEx account

Please see Step 10 below to review options and decide how you will verify your account.

At this time, the preferred verification methods are:

  • Get a verification code via email
  • Validate using Invoice Details

  1. In Channels Manager, navigate to "Admin" > "Shipping Carriers"
  2. You will see a "FedEx New" option
  3. "FedEx New" will allow you to connect to FedEx via the new API updates

4. You will get a popup that looks like the below picture

5. You may edit the "Profile Name" to something unique

The last option is preferred: "Validate with a recent invoice"

However, you can choose any option you wish.
