Release Schedule

We will be performing the release: Tonight (Tuesday, 7/9/19) 11:00 PM - Wednesday (7/10/19) 4:00 AM (Pacific Time).

Walmart v3 API Support (Support for oAuth-based Authentication Is Already Live)

If you sell on Walmart, you have probably seen emails from Walmart's partner support team informing you that they are updating their connection process and deprecating their v1 and v2 APIs. August 28, 2019 is the date Walmart has given for deprecating the old listing and connection APIs.

In order to remain up-to-date with Walmart, we updated the process for connecting to Walmart a few weeks ago. Tonight, we will release support for Walmart's v3 API.

If you reconnected Solid Commerce to Walmart over the last few weeks, you used the new process. You don't need to take any further action.

If you haven't reconnected Solid Commerce to Walmart in the last few weeks, you will need to reconnect before August 28th. Reconnecting is simple and only takes about five minutes. For instructions, please see the Reconnecting to Walmart section of our "Connecting or Reconnecting to Walmart" article.

Walmart's v3 API is used for:

  • Quantity updates
  • Price revisions
  • Relisting items that were out of stock
  • Creating listings for new products
  • Updating listing details for existing listings

Quantity updates, price revisions, or relisting items that return to stock will continue to work automatically. You don't need to take any action to keep this functionality working.

The process for listing new products or updating existing listings is changing with v3. We will send out instructions in the next week or two. In the meantime, v2 still works, so you can still create or update listings the way you do now.

Removing Listing Duration for eBay Fixed Price listings

In mid-March, eBay made the listing duration of fixed price listings Good 'Til Cancelled. Sellers can't choose a shorter duration unless they post their listing as an auction.

We're updating our user interface to match eBay. We are changing the name of the "Bids Length (Days)" field to Bid Duration. We are also moving it so that "Bid Duration" is directly below "Listing Type."

When you select Fixed Price from the "Listing Type" drop-down menu, we will automatically set the "Bid Duration" to Good 'Til Cancelled. Just like on eBay, you won't be able to select any other duration.

You will see these changes in Solid Commerce on the eBay Listing Templates page and the eBay Listing Details pop-up page for individual items.

Beta Order Manager Performance Enhancements

We've optimized the Beta order manager page so that it will load faster. You will see the orders populate quicker in both the orders and items views.

Adding Errors to the ShipNow History Download

We're adding an "Errors" column to the shipping history CSV that you can download from the ShipNow flyout pane. The errors provide insight into why labels failed to print.

For labels that printed successfully, the downloaded history CSV includes the ship date, ship to, tracking info, and items shipped.

The errors were already visible in the shipping history user interface, so there's no change to the UI.

Please note that the shipping history is specific to each computer. The history only includes the orders shipped from that computer.
