5) In the "URL to Custom XML Page" field, paste: https://shipstation.solidcommerce.com/ShipstationV2/SSV1.ashx

6) Enter your client's Solid Commerce credentials in the "Username" and "Password" fields.

  • Make sure the user has full permission in Solid Commerce.
  • Also make sure the password doesn't contain any special characters. Special characters can cause issues with the connection.

8) Click the Test Connection button to make sure that all of the settings are accurate.

9) If the test is successful, click Connect. You are connected.

10) Set the Store Timezone to GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).

  • If you don't set the timezone during the connection process, you can always edit your Solid Commerce store and find the Store Timezone on the "Store Settings" tab.

Notes About the Solid Commerce ShipStation Integration

Here is some important information to be aware of:

1) All paid orders import from Solid Commerce into ShipStation.

2) For the initial order import, ShipStation imports orders that were placed up to four days before you created the connection. This setting is controlled by ShipStation.

  • If your client has paid orders that are more than four days old, those older orders won’t import into ShipStation.
  • If your client wants to import older orders, or reset the sync date later for some other reason, they will need to contact ShipStation. The date cannot be viewed or edited by users and it isn't something that Solid Commerce staff or developers can change. ShipStation needs to set the date in their back end system.

3) You can set warehouses to be ignored in the Integration Portal

  • NOTE:  for orders with mixed PO sources, the integration logic expects a single PO source - order level - not item level.

Troubleshooting Orders Failing to Import Into ShipStation

Here are three things that you can check if orders are failing to import into ShipStation.

1) Ensure that you have the correct URL saved in the Solid Commerce store in ShipStation: https://shipstation.solidcommerce.com/ShipstationV2/SSV1.ashx.

2) Make sure that the password for your client's Solid Commerce user doesn't contain any special characters.

3) Have a developer check our ShipStation_Integration database to make sure they can see a valid SCApiKey. In this screen capture, the SCApiKey has a value of NULL, which means that we don't have a valid key and aren't connected to ShipStation.
