When we submit a variation listing to eBay, we control the display order of the options in the drop-down menu.
EXAMPLE: If you list a t-shirt, we will automatically submit the sizes in the order: S, M, L, and XL (not some other order, like alphabetically: L, M, S, XL).
This article explains our automated sorting process.
What we'll cover:
How We Determine What Order the Options Should Appear In
First, we search for the option values of your child items in the table displayed in the next section, Variation Sorting Table. If your values exist in the table, we apply the sort order from the table, starting at the top.
If the values of your child items don't exist in the table, we sort them numerically and then alphabetically.
Variation Sorting Table
The following table isn't case-sensitive. When we search it, "S" is the same as "s." We also trim spaces from the values to find all possible matches.
